Our last day of library was dedicated to learning all about our nation's flag. In honor of Flag Day (June 14th), we read The Flag We Love, by Pam Munoz Ryan. We discussed the history of our flag, the US Flag Code, and what the design and colors of our flag represent. Students were each given a flag to take home.
